Bathing Babies

Every parent knows what a joy it is to bath a baby. I remember how nervous I was the very first time I bathed Michael. Now its like second nature. We both look forward to our time together splashing. It is apparent though, that Michael prefers to bathe with friends. I have caught these two on camera one to many times splashing and having a good time!

Hey - this is my bath...well ok I guess you can stay.

I love my bath toys!

Mom, there is someone else in here....

Christmas Day Video

Christmas Day

After a morning of presents from Santa we packed up and headed of over to Grandma Rowan's for Xmas day. Santa had been equally generous here as he had been at home. ( how does he know??!)
We had a family breakfast together, after that was the commencement the opening of presents! Michael wasn't too interested in opening this year, we were thankful that his cousin Jane was all about it so we let her have at it once he went running off! thanks Jane!
Next was afternoon nap, for we had to prep for Xmas number three! We packed everyone up and headed to Great Aunt Kathy's where we revealed our Secret Santa, ate, drank and of course, were Merry!
Again, Tony and I took a moment to remember how grateful we are for all that we have been given. We continue to live each day opening our hearts making room for good.

Cake pops! Yum!

Christmas Eve 2011

Christmas Eve has traditionally been with Grandpa Rowans side of the family. Good food, games and presents were had by everyone. This year Michael was really shy with the family, its apparent that he is learning how to process new faces and fear. He stayed close to moms side. Also he is much more comfortable with guys than the gals at this point in his childhood. He really wanted nothing to do with the ladies!

The Rowan family always does a grab bag...unfortunately I got number one...boo! But in the end I ended up with a great gift. ( Thanks Matt!)

We also started our own Christmas eve tradition with cookies out for Santa and our small but still beautiful tree.

Lastly, Tony and I working toward living in the present and being grateful for what we have, Michael makes that so much easier for us. Here are some photos from the evening. Enjoy!

Santa has come, while little boys are fast asleep!
