From the bar to the backyard.

We have been in a new stage in life for a while now, gone are the days at the bar till 1 am. They have been replaced by early evenings with good friends and their children. Each stage has it's own cool stuff, and its great the reflect back on the time you have shared with your friends, while looking to the future of all the good things to come.

We spent Saturday evening with Tiff and Dave my long time high school friend and their little girl Regan. Penny and Regan did a great job playing and laughing with each other. Michael was a champ, he hung with the gals and crawled around with them, trying to show them how to walk and talk. How lucky we are to have these times together!

While I do miss the bar every now and then, its been replaced by something that is, at times, simply magnificent!

Come on ladies lets move it!

Penny's First Birthday

Well it came and went in flash! This year has been filled with so many remarkable things, most importantly the 1st birthday of our darling daughter Penny! We are so grateful for those who came out to celebrate with us, even though we had a severe rainstorm!! Penny had a great day surrounded by her family and friends. Michael was a great host and made sure that all the kids played and fun.

To see Penny grow over the last year has been a such a pleasure. She is so unique from Michael, an aspect of parenting that I simply love. Each child has their own personality, and while many times it not the opposite of the other just different. The diversity of the human spirit is so cool I have such a greater appreciation for this now having seen two children go through a first year of life.

Cousin Amy was kind enough to take a ton of pictures form the days event.THANK YOU!
Thanks to everyone who celebrated with us, we couldn't be more grateful for all of you.

Remember when Penny! How big you have gotten!

Halloween 2013

Halloween kicked off early this year, it began with a trip to Deider pumpkin farm with Montessori. Michael picked out his own pumpkin and took a hay ride! He rode a big yellow school bus and had his first apple cider doughnut.

Then we had the Halloween Boo Bash with Montessori, games, a costume train and treats were had be all the kids. We got to meet some more of the parents at the school and Michael introduced us to some of his friends!

Michael's class had a Halloween celebration at school where they made tshirts
And of course there was Trick o Treating in the pouring rain this year but that didn't stop anyone!

We ended the haloiday with a trip to Grandma Rowans house for more treats and fun.
I must say the Halloween " experience" this year was a month long one now that Michael is in school.

Penny was a trooper in the rain, she just splashed in the cupholders of the stroller. How lucky am I to have two such easy going kids. I simply adore them, and couldn't imagine having two more genuine, loving and kind people in my life.Children are a joy.
