Snow Shoveling

Just wanted to capture one of Michael's favorite activities during the winter. My guess is when he gets older he wont be as enthused to do it,  (yes that will be one of his jobs!) but for now I'll encourage all the help we can get! Also can you tell his favorite color is blue...this kid cant get enough of it.

I caught some shots of he and his dad out in the snow and of course had to run in the check on Penny, as I was sure she was heading to climb up the stairs....

Making progress!
Im gunna get ya dad!

Goodbye 2013, Hello 2014!

Gone are the days ( at least for now) of lat night partying and ringing on the new year. Now we have good food and drinks in the comfort of our our home and bed, which is pretty nice these days!

This year was a fish theme, we had shrimp, crab legs, crab dip, champagne, wine and of course a cosmo for me.  Dad made an amazing Fish Augratin for the main course with some pretty outstanding bread!

We played games, listened to music and shared stories. Michael tried on a few silly hats that my mom had for the celebration.

Aunt Carolyn and Uncle Mike joined the party which was nice for the kids, I know they missed them during the break! While we didn't make it until midnight, there is really no where else I would rather be than with those two little people on new years.

Cheers to all of you for a prosperous 2014!

The girls!

The boys - Michael didn't want to be in this picture because he likes girls not boys, which of course made all the guys laugh....

Let the games begin!

Christmas in Bloomington 2013

We had a smaller group this year for the Gorrie holidays. Kat, Mark, Tammy, Nick and Jeff were unable to attend. We miss you and hope to see you soon! DeEtte and Steve did a nice job preparing a early lunch for the group. Everyone was so generous to the kids, they got some great gifts! Steve had a twist on the white elephant that involved dice, it was great and nice little twist to the usual game that is played. We were so sad Aunt Teresa forgot her camera, we were waiting to see her talent on Christmas! She always takes such amazing photos, I guess we will have to come back!

Grandma and Grandpa Gorrie enjoyed spending time with the kids, Michael couldn't have been better. He was all smiles and did a nice job talking to everyone about school, his new toys and his little sister Penny. Meanwhile Penny just charmed everyone, per her usual self!  After the kids went to bed we had some good discussion ( as always around the Gorrie table!) There were some games played after that...however I feel asleep upstairs with Michael and missed them! Sorry about that!
