Wrapping it all up

The countdown has begun to Michael's final year of Montessori and Penny's first year attending. I'm so grateful of my continued involvement in this school, I honestly do not want this time to end. It's an inspiring place to spend time each day. The kindness and grace that these children display to their teachers, parents and each other warms my heart. Rest assured, they will all carry this into their adult lives.

For all the decision that Tony and I will have regarding our children,  I know that this decision was a good one, I will forever have that! I'm excited to see how Penny shines even brighter ( is that possible?) next year. She will have the class to herself and will begin to develop her own leadership qualities.

So we will say good bye for the summer, but will we back in the fall to begin again. As the newly elected new board president next year, I hope that I will be able to continue to carry the Montessori message of the school in the upcoming year.

Ok, off soapbox....on to what the heck has been going on!

Folk music has been playing in background and the children are learning about animals in Spanish class.

The children discussed how and what to reuse and recycle in order to reduce waste. The children used their home made "binoculars" and looked for many fun objects along the way.  Everyone had a great time exploring the neighborhood around the school.

Let the scavenger Hunt begin!

The children had fun making and playing with flubber. They even brought it home to continue the fun......

They planted and watch their sunflowers grow, we will plant them in the yard next.

The chrysalis began to open.....they currently have four butterflies!  How exciting!!

Kindergartners will be going to LegoLand Discovery Center on Friday May 6th. Its a pretty big deal for them. :)
Michael, Kanoa, Margaret, Colin and Miles!

Moms night rocked! Such a great way to spend an evening with the kiddos, they are so excited to show me how hard they work, and it shows, I have two of the brightest ones in the bunch and its true...no bias here.
