The first big snowfall finally came, it looks like we may be in for a white Christmas after all. Michael did a nice job helping Dad shovel the driveway. Penny wanted to venture out too but instead the girls just watched the boys from the window. After while, once the cold set in, the boys came in and we all had hot chocolate and of course cookies.

In the afternoon we headed out to the mall to hear the Wheeling High school jazz band play jazzy Christmas tunes. The mall also put on a spectacular light show, we braved the cold and enjoyed the music and festive lights. Then it was out to dinner, after few glasses of milk, a beer or two for mom and dad and some wings we were ready to head home. It's days like this that remind me of how important time with each other is, no matter what you are doing or where you are going stopping and living in the present, while difficult, is incredibly importnat. Looking forward to many more "present" moments like this!
