Even though its been a rather rainy summer, we have been out and about all over the town! From Wednesdays at the library, swim lessons, splash pads, and getting together with family and friends, the rain hasn't stopped us.
Michael's summer program has been filled with a number of activities. Swim class is the first, he moved up to the Jelly fish group and continues to work on those skills. Once completed he will be ready for Swim School.
The kids also participated in "Picnic in the Park" they all walk to North Park and have a picnic, check out the fountain and hear some pretty great music.
The school had two German exchange students who taught the kids theater and music.

And then of course there are "Sprinkler Mondays" I think that pretty much describes its self.
During the rainy days Michael has the opportunity to do work in the classroom with his friends.
Penny has been busy too! She has been working with Miss Carolyn on her letters, they have made some pretty fab jewelry and their walks to the park have conversations that cannot be missed!
She has also made a number of great friends! Cheering up Baby Ingrid after the parade!

And if you are lucky she MAY even sing you some of the songs she has learned over the summer!
The kids have had an been a blast this summer. They continue to genuinely enjoy each others company ( for the most part) I know i always say this but I am forever grateful for these two. Tony and I are so fortunate to have such wonderful kids, they continue to challenge and love us. Which, in the end makes us much better people! But WAIT the summer isn't over yet... Colorado and Yellowstone, HERE WE COME. That's for another blog at another time.
